Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

By accessing or using Lyrix ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by Northlux LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we," "us," or "Lyrix"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account without refund.

Lyrix is a lyric generation and scoring tool that uses structural pattern analysis to generate and evaluate lyric candidates across multiple genres. The Service includes AI-assisted lyric generation, multi-dimensional scoring, storage and export of past generations, and production-ready style seed output. The Service is subject to change at any time.

To access the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and be responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us at legal@thelyrix.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Access to the Service requires a one-time payment processed through Stripe. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. Founding Member pricing ($29 one-time) grants lifetime access.

Refund Policy: You may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase by emailing legal@thelyrix.com. After 30 days, purchases are non-refundable.

Your inputs. You retain all rights to the inputs you provide (themes, prompts, descriptions).

Your outputs. You own the lyric candidates generated from your inputs and may use them for any lawful purpose, including commercial use. Lyrix makes no claim of ownership over your generated lyrics.

Our licence. By using the Service, you grant Northlux LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use and analyse your inputs and outputs solely to improve and maintain the Service. We will not publish or sell your specific outputs without your consent.

Our technology. The Service, including its scoring models, infrastructure, and interface, is owned exclusively by Northlux LLC.

You may not use the Service to:

• Generate content that harasses or threatens any individual or group
• Impersonate or falsely attribute lyrics to real, named artists or public figures without clear fictional framing
• Generate lyrics for spam, mass content farming, or automated deceptive distribution
• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our underlying models or scoring data
• Use automated tools to place unreasonable load on our infrastructure

The Service may produce explicit or adult-themed lyric content. By using the Service you confirm you are 18 or older and accept responsibility for how you use such content.

You are responsible for ensuring your use of generated lyrics does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights. Lyrix generates original content and does not reproduce copyrighted lyrics verbatim. You are solely responsible for any copyright clearance required before commercial use. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY GENERATED LYRICS WILL BE COMMERCIALLY SUCCESSFUL, UNIQUE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR INTENDED USE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NORTHLUX LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO NORTHLUX LLC OR $29, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. You may cancel your account at any time by emailing legal@thelyrix.com. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund outside the 30-day window.

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States. Disputes shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Wyoming under AAA rules. You waive any right to participate in a class action.

Account information: email address and profile data provided at registration.

Usage data: inputs submitted (genre, mood, theme), generated outputs, scoring results, and session data.

Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store card details — only a payment confirmation and transaction ID.

Technical data: IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, and usage logs for security and performance.

We use collected information to provide and improve the Service, process payments, respond to support, detect abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.

We share data only with: Stripe (payment processing); infrastructure providers (Vercel, Supabase) necessary to operate the Service; and legal authorities where required by law. All providers are contractually required to protect your data.

Account data is retained while your account is active. Usage and generation data may be retained for up to 24 months. You may request deletion at any time by emailing legal@thelyrix.com. Requests are actioned within 30 days.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact legal@thelyrix.com to exercise any of these rights.

We may use cookies for session management and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Service functionality.

The Service is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Contact legal@thelyrix.com if you believe we have inadvertently done so.
